Chickpeas are almost all the time available in our pantry. Today, let us make a very popular Arabian dish made with chickpeas. The reason why it is finding a place in our blog is that it is so rich in calories that you can use it as a spread in your khubhus or flatbreads or even just some veggies like carrots. This is a side dish and not a meal of course. Come, let us check out the best hummus recipe today.
1. Chickpeas- Use can use canned chickpeas for instant use. Otherwise, Soak it for 6-8 hours and then pressure cook until done.
3. Olive oil – as required
4. Green chillies-1
5. Garlic cloves – 4 or 5 medium sized ones
6. Paprika- to garnish
7. Tahini (sesame paste) – 2 tbsp
Method to Prepare Homemade Hummus:
Step 1: Take the chickpeas and add it in a blender. Also, add the green chillies and garlic. Do not add any water.
Step 2: Turn the mixer grinder until an even and smooth mixture is prepared.
Step 3: Add salt and some olive oil.
Step 4: Remove to a bowl and garnish with even more olive oil and paprika.
This is a very simple recipe and you can prepare in bulk and store this in your fridge for days together. You can use it as necessary as part of your any meal of the day. I’m sure you will love its taste. Reduce or increase the flavour of the garlic adds per your preference.
