How to Make Buttermilk for Weight Gain
Today is going to share an easy recipe of buttermilk which can help you gain weight in a few days. As you know, buttermilk is a dairy drink. The traditional buttermilk is the liquid that we are left with, after churning out the butter from milk cream. As this process is no longer a usual custom done in our homes, we are going to see how to make an easy version of it.
Buttermilk can also be included in your regular daily diet and it is also good for your overall health and well being apart from helping you to get and maintain a healthy weight. 100 grams of Plain buttermilk has 40 calories.
Buttermilk reminds me of the childhood days, where we buy the small packets at ₹10, the taste of it is so divine that you’ll definitely crave for more. The creaminess of milk, the tangy taste of curd, along with the right blend of spices you add – there’s no word for me to describe its taste.
Buttermilk can be widely used in your diet for your cooking and baking needs. Some cake recipes use buttermilk instead of the eggs, as the ultimate result is an airy texture to your baked cake.
They are not just used for cakes, but also for making pancakes, waffles, gravies, chicken preparations etc as well.
For Weight Gain, you can drink a glass of two after your meals on a day. Continue your intake regularly and you’ll get to see the results.
As I said, this is not the authentic recipe of buttermilk it is just an innovated version. If you want to make it traditional way, here is how to do it.
Boil milk and collect the cream layer rising on its top. You can keep the boiled milk in fridge for sometime till the layer forms and use it, incase you’re in a hurry. Collect the cream layer everyday and store in an airtight container and put it in your freezer. When you have got enough for milk cream collected, start making Butter.
For making Butter, add the collected cream to a mixer grinder and add cold water into it. Give that a blend for a minute. The cream would have become a whole Mass (Butter) in this process and left behind white colored water is called ‘buttermilk’.
Unlike the usual recipes you find on internet, this recipe is different.
Buttermilk Recipe for Weight Gain
Yoghurt – 1/2 cup
Water – 1/2 cup
Green chillies – 1 or 2
Ginger – a small piece
Butter-1 tsp (Optional)
Preparation Method of Buttermilk
for Weight Gain:
Step 1: Take a blender jar, add the yogurt and the water into it and blend it till yogurt is all smooth and frothy.
Step 2: Add the chillies and ginger to it. Blend it for a few seconds.
Step 3: Use a sieve to get smooth buttermilk.
Step 4: Have it as it is or chill a bit before serving.
I’m sure you’ll definitely crave for more and make it often once you prepare this for one time. It’s that good. No doubt.
Also, I highly suggest you to use shallots for preparing this recipe because it gives such a nice flavour to this version of spicy rich buttermilk. So please do add it and prefer to use shallots instead of onions.
Feel free to keep them and store in fridge for almost 2 days. If you want to store it for more days, I suggest to keep it in the freezer.
You can prepare buttermilk in bulk, and refrigerate/freeze it for your next use. As always, freezing helps to keep your buttermilk fresh for a long time. Simply thaw it and use them as you want.
Buttermilk tastes delicious and it is also called as ‘Chas’ in Hindi. It is really refreshing to have this drink.
